This could be a great start to your week. You will learn low-impact moves on and off the pole that will expand your creativity and bring out your raw emotions. The teacher will provide a general warm up as a group and follow with individual tricks depending on your level.Ĭontemporary pole is a choreography based class that incorporates expressive and beautiful movements combined with basic pole elements like beginner/intermediate spins, low flow, and floor work. *Prerequisites: Dual side proficiency for basic inverts (inside/outside leg hang, butterfly, pike) and aerial inverts, as well as strong shoulder mounts on both sides and the ability to safely execute a combo of minimum 3 inverted poses, complete with an ascent and a descent (the descent can be a clean pose or pass to the floor) *Īny Level is welcome to come and join this mixed level class. Students will move through intermediate to advanced level inverts, expanding upon their inverted transitions, ascents and descents, as well as exploring more dynamic elements, such as pops and flips. *Prerequisites: Students must have a solid side climb on both sides, as well as the ability to hold a splay for 5 seconds, execute 3 splay crunches and solid knee hang engagement on both sides (test knee hang execution with dragonfly and no-handed genie, hold for 5 seconds). This class builds your foundation for L4 and beyond. Instructor clearance required. ![]() Build strength and consistency flowing in and out of various basic inverted poses. As students gain more confidence and control, the class will explore the progression of other inversions. ![]() In this level we take you upside down! We focus on the fundamentals of basic inverts and descents. (Completion of an L1 Series should check these pre-requisites as well.) *Prerequisite: Students must be comfortable executing their basic climb and descent, executing the basic spins one handed, doing five crunches in a row and holding a pole sit for 5 seconds all of which must be fulfilled on both sides. All tricks and poses are 3 points of contact and hips stay below the head (no inversions). This class focuses on expanding upon your current pole repertoire while harnessing more control and simultaneously, preparing you for the next stage, inverting. ![]() Students will continue to condition and strengthen their bodies for more advanced climbs, spins and static poses. **No inverting allowed, and hips must be always below the shoulders when the student’s body is on the pole. * Prerequisites: Completion of Intro to Pole Series (4 weeks/4 sessions minimum) OR students must be comfortable executing their basic spins on both sides, transitioning from the pole to the floor and vice-versa. (fireman, pinwheel/double stag, front hook, back hook, Ssit/step around spin, pirouette & half pirouette) Students will be introduced to climbing, sitting and upright dismounting, with continued work on the fundamentals of strength building and conditioning. This class expands upon basic spins and transitions, while also exploring new poses and combos. Students will also be given new ways to utilize the base of the pole for ascending and descending to the floor. This class explores all elements of floorwork, such as legwork, dive downs, pop ups and rolls, to name a few. Want to move across the floor like butter?
